Cultural significance

Historic Environment Policy For Scotland, published by Historic Environment Scotland in 2019 states: ‘Cultural significance means aesthetic, historic, scientific or social value for past, present or future generations. Cultural significance can be embodied in a place itself, its fabric, setting, use, associations, meanings, records, related places and related objects.’
